Colorist & Video Editor
My Philosophy
How do you get audiences to really feel something about your brand? By telling a good story, and stories are at their strongest when they connect with people on an emotional level. Often an advertisement is defined less by its product than by how it makes people feel. As a visual storyteller, I have put this philosophy into practice over a wide variety of video projects, using video editing and color grading as tools to build emotional connections with audiences.
About Me
I moved to NYC in 2014 to pursue my career as a Colorist with nothing but $700 remaining in my bank account.
I worked my way up as a Production Assistant until I started working as a junior video editor as my primary source of income. Meanwhile I tried to convince people to hire me to color their videos, while picking up new skills along the way such as compositing and DIT.
After a whirlwind of a year, working every single side gig I could find, I was able to finally start establishing myself in the industry as both a colorist and video editor that many indie films and clients from small companies and agencies would look to hire. Ever since then, I’ve packaged myself as an expert in both color grading and video editing, and the work I’ve been hired to do has only gotten bigger and better
In 2017, I had a two year stint working full-time as the video editor for Minute Media while continuing to freelance on nights and weekends.
Eventually, I left and returned to freelancing full-time in order to accomplish what I originally came to NYC for.
To be a Colorist.
